A set of reference photographs used in the production of the Star Wars trilogy. Acquired from the collection of esteemed special effects artist Stuart Freeborn, these photographs formed part of a larger archive filled with references detailing the various creatures created for the Star Wars trilogy.
These photographs shows a mask for the alien M'iiyoom Onith, also known as "Yam Nose" on set, a creature seen in the famed Mos Eisley cantina. The mask is presented on a wooden base in the stills, which show the mask from the front, left side and rear. A label marked "52" on white: signifying A New Hope in their labelling system for the photographs: is sat at the bottom of the base.
Three photographs in all, the set remains in very good condition and is supplied in their original plastic storage wallet. Each photograph measures 11 cm x 8.5cm (4.5" x 3.5").
