Tevrin Krit's (Harry Judge) captain's chair from the episode 'The Escape Artist' (104) of Star Trek: Short Treks. In the episode, the Tellarite bounty hunter Krit sat in his captain's chair throughout his journey to deliver Harry Mudd (Rainn Wilson), which he didn't realize was actually an android duplicate of Mudd, to the starship De Milo for a reward. The captain's chair, modified from one originally built for use on the Shenzhou bridge set, is constructed of metal, resin, and wood. It features a distressed silver-color body with simulated rust applied throughout; metallic green paneling with grate-like textures; a brown faux-reptile-skin leatherette seat; a seat-back made of three green air tanks with patterned adhesives applied; machinery including pipes, cables, and gauges throughout the sides and back of the chair; recesses in both armrests in which tablets could be inserted to simulate controls; and a distressed circular metal base. Wires leading out of the sides of the chair may have previously supported a type of lighting or other electronic capability. The captain's chair is in good overall condition with some signs of wear from production, including some paint scuffing and readhered end-caps on the armrests.
