Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Printed Starship Chronology Board

Stock #80677

"Think of it! Five years ago no one had ever heard of Bajor or Deep Space Nine, and now, all our hopes rest here!"

A printed Starship Chronology board from Rick Berman and Michael Piller’s classic sci-fi show Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993-1999)

The series is set on a Federation space station in the vicinity of the recently liberated planet Bajor and a stable wormhole to the other side of the galaxy.

This board was used to help design the layout of the Starship Chronology boards for the show. One can be seen on the wall of Keiko O'Brien's (Rosalind Chao) classroom in episodes such as Season 1's ‘The Nagus’. The display shows the history of warp vessels, as well as the different classes of starship within Starfleet. In the show they are translucent so it can be backlit and displayed as a computer screen. It was designed by Academy Award-winner Doug Drexler, and features Greg Jein's design for the first "warp-capable" craft, the Bonaventure.

The board is card and each section is paper stuck on with glue. It features a note from the art department stuck to the front. It has some wear from production use and age, including some creasing and curling at the corners, as well as scuffing to the board. Overall it remains in a very good, production-used condition.

Materials: Card, Paper.
