Dr. Harry Adams’ (Samuel L. Jackson) oxygen pack used in the 1998 sci-fi thriller, Sphere. The pack is made out of hard plastic and features a large rectangular casing with a silver middle strip that indents in the bottom half giving the item a futuristic look.
There are two hole hookups at the top neck line where tubing was attached from the helmet. Attached to the pack is a cushioned fabric backpack harness which features a rubber OSSA patch on the right strap, as well as many metal hooks and 2 closure clasps. Tubing also appears on the left side which connects to the fabric harness and extends down to a rubber base with a red button and metal knob. The top right side of the pack has a fixed black knob and level gage. Best of all, if you pull the top of the harness away from the pack you are able to see the tape that was used during production with Samuel’s name on it.
Due to production use and storage, this piece does display minor scratches and scuffs but overall is in good condition. This item measures approximately 24” x 16” (61cm x 41cm).
