John Canyon’s (Dennis Hopper) and Mike Pucci’s (Stephen Dorff) truckers licenses from Stuart Gordon’s 1996 comedy sci-fi film Space Truckers.
A space trucker and his fiancée are on their way from a space station to Earth with an unknown cargo. When space pirates hijack them, 5000 disintegrator robots are found in the cargo.
These licences were made for the production, and John’s can be seen stuck to the wall of his cab near his seat. Mike’s can be briefly seen in his hand when he talks to Keller (George Wendt) near the beginning of the film. The licences are made from laminated paper. John’s features the same design on both sides but with two slightly different photographs. It has details such as his social security number and the licence’s issue date. It has been ‘signed’ in green pen by ‘John Canyon’. Mike’s licence features the same information but has no picture.
The licences have some wear from production use and age, most especially on John’s. It has been intentionally distressed to look well used, but on one side it has the residue from a glue where it was stuck to the wall. Overall the pieces remain in a very good, production-used condition.
