Original Production Art - Grandpa Surprised

Stock #111468

“I used to be with ‘it’, but then they change what ‘it’ was.”

Original production art from the 1989 to present animated comedy television show The Simpsons.

The show is the satirical adventures of a working-class family in the misfit city of Springfield.

Sketches were used in the production of the animation. They were layered in acetate to be painted over and then those painted pieces would make up the final animation. This particular piece is of a surprised Grandpa Simpson drawn in black and orange pens.

The sketch has no annotations and features three holes at the bottom from where it would have been held in a file with other sketches. The artwork comes in a framed display and remains in an excellent condition.

Materials: Paper, Wood, Plastic.
