Saving Private Ryan

Severed Head

Stock #124228

“He better be worth it. He better go home and cure a disease, or invent a longer-lasting light bulb.”

A severed head from the production of Steven Spielberg’s 1998 war drama Saving Private Ryan.

Following the Normandy Landings, a group of U.S. soldiers go behind enemy lines to retrieve a paratrooper whose brothers have been killed in action.

Prosthetic body parts were used and made by the special effects department for use in explosive battle scenes. The head is foam latex with a latex exterior, it features realistic innards with a spine and faux-flesh. The head shows glue residue from where a helmet would have been stuck on and shows intentional distress with stage blood and mud. The head shows wear from production use with damage present on the latex ears and face and an overall build-up of grime. It remains in an otherwise very good condition.

Materials: Latex, Foam.
