Niki Lauda's (Daniel Bruhl) Balaclava Display

Stock #52556

A balaclava worn in the production of Ron Howard’s 2013 sports drama Rush. Based on a true story, the film follows racing icons Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) and James Hunt during their infamous 1976 Formula One season. As their rivalry on and off the track begins to take its toll, a near-fatal injury leaves Lauda fighting for the championship and Hunt in pole position to take the title.

This balaclava and others like it were worn by Niki Lauda at each Formula One circuit throughout the racing season until his untimely crash at the infamous Nürburgring circuit. The piece of race equipment is made of off-white fire retardant material by the race equipment manufacturer OMP. Displaying some light wear to the stitching from its use on the production, the piece remains in very good condition and is presented on a custom-made display base featuring the film’s title artwork.
