Our expert's notes

A press pass armband from Ron Howard’s 2013 sports-drama Rush. The film depicts the rivalry between Formula One drivers James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) during the 1970s, when both pushed each other to the limit in order to win the World Championship. Passes were used by members of the press at several racing venues during the film.

The armband is made of red leather and features a buckle strap and an aperture at the top for the insertion of a photograph. And a central window contains a passport-sized photograph of a press agent. Printed on the armband in gold-coloured script is the fictional “International Racing Press Association”, “Press Photo” and the IRPA microphone logo.

The lot is in excellent condition.
