An arrow from the production of Kevin Reynolds’ 1991 action adventure Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
Robin of Locksley (Kevin Costner) and his Moorish companion Azeem (Morgan Freeman) make their way to England from the Crusades, and end up as outlaws, fighting the corrupt and villainous Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman).
This arrow and others like it were made for the production and were carried by Robin and his fellow outlaws. Made of wood with a flight made of feather, the arrow lacks an arrow head. There is some light singeing where the arrow head previously was, suggesting that this one was used as one of the fire arrows that appear in the film.
There is some minor wear from production use, age and storage. The flight has some gaps in it where the feathers have become bent and there is some dried glue at one end where the arrow head was attached. Despite this the arrow remains in a very good condition.
Materials: Wood, Man-Made Woven Fibres, Feather.
