An Umbrella Telesystems pay phone from Alexander Witt’s video game adaptation sequel Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Alice (Milla Jovovich) wakes up in the Racoon city hospital after the city has been overrun by zombies, and must now make it out of the city before a nuclear bomb is dropped on the city.
Umbrella Telesystem pay phones, or ‘Utel’, were used as set decoration outside the corporate buildings and Alice answers one when called by Dr. Ashford (Jared Harris). The item, adapted from a real pay phone, is metal with a plastic handset, screen and keyboard. The phone features functioning buttons, money slot and switch hook, it has the red motif and ‘Utel’ logo along the top above the static screen. There are screws on the back that allow the pay phone to be affixed to a wall and an exposed power cable. The phone comes with a separate screen of which a similar style can be seen above the body of the pay phone. The item shows light paint wear and scratches but remains in an otherwise very good screen-used condition.
