A stunt EVA suit torch used in the Ridley Scott prequel Prometheus. Led to a distant planet by ancient wall paintings, scientists Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and Charlie Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) join a corporate sponsored mission to discover the source of life on Earth. But in the ruins of an alien space craft, the human explorers soon find that all is not as it seems, and a great threat lurks in its deep holds.

This torch and others like it were attached to the belts of the crew’s EVA suits as they ventured from the Prometheus out to the Engineer derelict. These versions were substituted for real fully functioning torches in close up shots where a working one was required. The piece is made from solid resin with a gun metal powder coated finish, and a reflective circular piece at one end to replicate the appearance of a bulb.

Displaying wear including several marks and minor scratches on the reflector from use on production during the film’s many intense action scenes, the torch remains in good condition.
