A pair of button pads and stickers from the production of Ridley Scott’s 2012 sci-fi film Prometheus.
Led to a distant planet by ancient wall paintings, scientists Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and Charlie Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) join a corporate sponsored mission to discover the source of life on Earth. But in the ruins of an alien space craft, the human explorers soon find that all is not as it seems, and a great threat lurks in its deep holds.
These buttons and others like them were made for the production to decorate the Prometheus and although these are not obviously seen on screen, they are similar ones can be seen all around the ship, from the main consoles on the bridge to the pads opening doors.>
The buttons are made of a translucent acrylic with different colours cut into them. On the reverse there are a couple of sections where clear tape has been stuck to the panel. The stickers are both warnings, for a shock hazard and to not use something while the engine is running. Despite showing some minor wear from production use, including some scuffs, scratches, and sticky residue on the reverse of the stickers and larger acrylic button, the pieces remain in an excellent condition.
Materials: Acrylic, Paper.
