A Tus (Richard Coyle) bodyguard helmets from Mike Newell’s 2010 action movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
The protectors of the eldest Prince of Persia and heir to the throne can be spotted wearing this style of protective headgear from early on in the movie, right after the invasion of the sacred city of Atlemut.
Made from durable vinyl, the helmet has been sprayed metallic grey to resemble metal with lots of vertical lines running from the dark green cloth wrap around the headband to a short conical point. There is a curtain of protective chainmail down the back of the neck made from a combination of metal and rubber hoops to ensure the piece wasn’t too heavy on set.
It has some intentional distress to the cloth wrap, as well as some scuffs and scratches from production use, but overall it remains in an excellent condition.
Materials: Vinyl, Ferrous Metals, Rubber, Man-Made Woven Fibres.
