Ben Bradlee’s (Tom Hanks) shirt from Steven Spielberg’s 2017 historical drama The Post
The film tells the story of attempts by journalists at The Washington Post to publish the ‘Pentagon Papers’, a series of classified documents relating to US involvement in Vietnam.
Bradlee wore his striped shirt at several points in the film, first when he and Katharine Graham (Meryl Streep) are having a lunch meeting, and later when the journalists are rooting through the documents. The shirt is a ‘CEGO’ and the label has the handwritten word ‘Fox’. There is no size labelling.
The shirt has very minor wear from production use, including some loose threads and a small cut on the inside of the collar, but overall it remains in an excellent condition.
