This collection of items can be seen below deck aboard Queen Victoria’s royal flagship the QV1, as the chef prepares a feast of endangered animals for the World Leaders attending The Rare Creatures Dining Club – a fate that poor Polly the Dodo narrowly escapes! The collection includes a bundle of folded sacks, an exotic animal leg, a tongue on a hook and turtles on a skewer. The animal leg, tongue and turtles have all been made from resin, which has then been painted and varnished, and the hook and skewer are both light metal. The bundles of sacks are painted cloth, and have been fastened together in stack using glue. There is a small amount of dried glue on the side of the sacks but this collection otherwise remains in fantastic production used condition. The exotic animal leg is the largest component and measures approximately 24cm (9.5”) in length.

In The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists, Hugh Grant stars in his first animated role as the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain – a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas. With a rag-tag crew at his side and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
