Prop Store is proud to present an exclusive offering of ‘The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists’ stop motion puppets, props and set pieces from Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation.

Cockney Ned can be seen enjoying himself at London watering hole, The Hook, Line & Sinker as the Pirate Captain celebrates his scientific victory with Charles Darwin after winning first place for Scientist of the Year with his one-of-a-kind pet dodo Polly! His clothing is foam latex, with silicone hands and facial hair. His head is resin, with plasticine around his forehead and eyes for maximum expression. As we do not see a full-length shot of Ned during the film, he has been constructed without any feet. He is securely presented to his bespoke display stand using a small metal fixture that attaches to the intricate internal metal armature that allows for him to be posed and animated. Due to its delicate nature, there is a small indentation in the plasticine on the top of his head, but he otherwise remains in excellent production used condition. Cockney Ned measures approximately 30cm (11.75”) in height, with is stand measuring approximately 13.5x12.5cm (5.25x4.75”) around the base.

In The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists, Hugh Grant stars in his first animated role as the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain – a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas. With a rag-tag crew at his side and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
