A telegram from the production of Michael Bay’s 2001 war film Pearl Harbor.
The film tells the story of a love triangle between two pilots and a nurse while war between the USA and Japan looms near.
This telegram and others like it were made for the film, and although not obviously seen on screen, telegrams like it can be seen being screwed up by President Roosevelt (Jon Voight). The telegram features the warning; ‘Attack on Pearl Harbour X this is not a drill’ and is printed onto thin yellow paper.
The paper has very little wear and remains in an excellent condition.
