A set of Norman Babcock stop-motion faces, crew gifts, gift box and bag from Chris Butler and Sam Fell's stop-motion comedy horror ParaNorman. These faces were created for and used in filming by Laika Studios, which produced thousands of faces to convey a variety of emotions and expressions. They were then gifted to crew members after production wrapped.
Made from 3D-printed resin, the faces are intricately hand-painted to enable consistency between each shot, and are attached via magnets. One face is mounted on a resin plaque - finished to mimic wood - and features a gold plaque. Three faces are displayed in a sectioned wooden box with an engraving reading "ParaNorman Crew 2010-2012" on the left side. The lot is accompanied by a cardboard box containing an instruction sheet, and a paper bag featuring a print of the top of Norman's face. The set displays minimal wear, including minor scuffs on the wooden box, and comes housed within a grey case. Dimensions (plaque display):15 cm x 12 cm x 6 cm (6" x 4 3/4" x 2 1/2"); (box display): 10 cm x 29.5 cm x 5.5 cm (4" x 11 3/4" x 2 1/4")
