"Drafted? What kind of Marine is drafted?"
A USMC service uniform from the 2010 drama war Television mini-series The Pacific.
The Pacific Theatre of World War II, as seen through the eyes of several young Marines.
Members of the United States Marine Corp wore their service uniforms while not on combat duty, for instance when they were on leave in Australia. The uniform consists of a jacket, shirt, trousers, cap, belt and holster. The jacket features a patch on the right arm, identifying the soldier as having fought on Guadalcanal, and is labelled size '36'. The shirt has a patch on each arm indicating the rank of 'Gunnery Sergeant' and one patch for the '27th Marines', but no size labelling. The trousers have '32' imprinted in the waistband and the hat cap has a label which reads 'Phillips', likely in reference to Sid Phillips (Ashton Holmes). The belt has a leather holster and rubber stunt water bottle. 'Basilone Arrival' is handwritten on the belt.
The costume has very little wear from production use and age, bar intentional distress on the holster, and remains in an excellent condition.
Materials: Man-Made Woven Fibres, Leather, Ferrous Metals, Plastic.
