A stunt Thompson submachine gun from the production of the 2010 TV mini-series The Pacific.
These stunt versions of the Thompson were used by the actors for safety on set. The weapon is made of hard rubber which has been moulded to resemble the real rifle. The ‘wooden’ sections have been painted a dark brown and all other sections have been made to look like metal. This is a particularly interesting and rare style due to the space for the magazine, which was interchangeable for whatever was needed for each scene.
The rifle has been intentionally distressed to appear well used, and has some additional wear from age and use. Overall it remains in very good condition.
