Based off of a collection of memoirs, the Pacific follows three marines as they endure the horrors of World War II while serving in Japan. This Newspaper can be seen held by a man on the trolley when the Marines are on leave in Australia.

This newspaper is titled The Argus of Melbourne, and dated February 5, 1943 with the main headline "Russians Threaten Enemy Strongholds." This is a full "last edition" newspaper, 12 pages, printed with black ink on tan paper. The majority of the articles in the newspaper regard the war. It also includes advertisements, stock market listings, and local news.

This item shows some signs of wear due to production use, including some tears and folds, but remains in overall very good condition.
