A Jaeger Clamp Lifting Unit from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. This tool was made for use in the background of scenes in the Shatterdome set.

The unit is made of mostly resin and metal pieces. Each arm section features three small ‘finger’ pieces that can be posed. The piece is painted dark green and black and features white highlights and lettering throughout. The left side of the piece features a custom plaque featuring the unit’s specifications and the PPDC logo. There is a section under the unit which once featured a switch that likely powered the back lights, though the switch is now missing. The piece remains in good condition. This piece measures 19” x 16” x 11” ( 48 cm x 40 cm x 28 cm).
