Nine

Guido's (Daniel Day Lewis) Suite Movie Notes

Stock #58084

A set of notes used in the production of Rob Marshall's musical drama Nine. Tortured by an inability to write, fallen Italian film director Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis) flees the trappings of Rome to try and find inspiration for his new production. With his life crumbling around him in a spiral of lies, Guido finds himself trying to make sense of the life he leads in search of his next leading lady – and his next picture.

These notes and others like them were strewn throughout Guido's suite as he struggled to find the story he wanted to tell for his new picture, settling on a grand musical covering the artistic history of Italy, to be titled "Italia". The set is comprised of various assorted script pages covered in hand-drawn illustrations, all of which is written in Italian, along with hand-drawn storyboards for his new film and an artistic timeline of Bella Italia. The set displays only minor wear from use and remains in very good condition.
