A stunt SIG-SAUER P229 pistol from the production of the 2011 Tom Cruise film Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, believed to have been used by Jeremy Renner. Renner's character in the film, William Brandt, can be seen with this style gun holstered when we first meet him in the IMF secretary's SUV, just before it's attacked; another can be seen behind him on the armory wall in the team's secret train car.
Stunt guns such as this are commonly used as holster fillers for actor safety, where a real firing weapon is not needed; rubber pistols can be handled on set without an armorer. The hand gun has been created with all the manufacturer's markings throughout, making it very realistic in comparison to the actual weapon. The gun shows minimal signs of wear and remains in very good condition.
