A final shooting script for the 1998 fantasy mini-series Merlin. Shooting scripts are versions of the screenplay used during film production.
The story of Merlin (Sam Neill) revisits the legend of King Arthur from the perspective of the mysterious wizard. In the miniseries we see how Camelot rose and fell, and get a glimpse into the period of British history before the legendary castle.
The script is presented in a red document folder – each page has been hole punched for filing. It has been printed on single-sided A4 sheets of white paper, with 299 numbered pages. The cover page is printed on light blue paper and features the title ‘Merlin’ and the information, ‘Final Shooting Script, issued 24th October 1997 – N.B. Any further amendments will be issued on coloured pages’. It has been marked ‘58’ in pencil at the top right, and the address for Pinewood studios is printed at the bottom left.
Despite some marks and minor tearing from use in production, the script is in good overall condition.
