MAD MAX (1979)

Lot #239 - Cinema Poster Live Auction - UK Quad, 1979

Stock #129066

The worldwide advertising poster campaign for George Miller's 1979 cinematic 'game changer' "Mad Max" is special. Iconic Tom Beauvais' artwork of an MFP figure pointing a shotgun directly at the viewer has been used and the car below the figure is a hybrid between the colourful V8 Interceptor cop vehicles and Max's black Pursuit. It is a fantastic piece of poster art, perfectly suited by the British Quad design and highly desirable in this landscape format.
