A metal knife with a faux bone handle made for and used in the production of Michael Mann's gorgeous historical epic The Last of the Mohicans.
The film sees three Native American trappers, including the adopted Hawkeye (Daniel Day-Lewis), work to protect the daughters of a British Colonel during the middle of the French and Indian War.
This knife and others like it would have been carried by Huron Warriors in the film’s many battle sequences.
The knife has a metal blade and a faux bone handle. It has been intentionally distressed to make it look more realistic, especially on the handle where there are several dark scratches and areas of discolouration. Some wear is evident from production use and age, and there are patches of rust on the blade.
Overall the knife remains in good condition.
Materials: Ferrous Metals, Faux Bone.
