Kurosawa's Dreams

Five Matted Concept Art Pieces

Stock #114037

A set of matte concept art pieces from legendary filmmaker Akira Kurosawa’s 1990 surrealist film, Dreams. The film consists of eight short films based on dreams experienced by Kurosawa himself. These pieces were used in pre-production when the filmmakers were developing a way to achieve this complicated, surreal shot.

The set features four printed composites from the film which have each been painted to depict the effects required for an erupting volcano. The fifth concept piece is a hand-painted piece featuring a frame of a woman embracing her children. All pieces have been painted by ILM matte painter Christpher Evans.

Each piece shows minimal signs of wear, but remains in great overall condition.
