Killing Fields, The

BAFTA Certificate

Stock #84049

“Look, excuse the pun, but we're either staying - or we're living.”

A BAFTA Certificate from Roland Joffe’s 1984 biographical war drama The Killing Fields.

The film centres on the plight of journalists Dith Pran (Haing S. Ngor) and American Sydney Schanberg (Sam Waterston) who were trapped in Cambodia during brutal tyrant Pol Pot's 'Year Zero' cleansing campaign.

Printed on light yellow card, this 1984 BAFTA certificate was awarded to Ian Fuller, Clive Winter and Bill Rowe for Excellence in the Craft of Sound. Each name is handwritten in calligraphy. It is hand-signed by BAFTA president Anne and chairman James Gellan (sp) Jones. A large trademark BAFTA mask emblem is printed in gold on the left.

Presented in a storage tube, the certificate has been rolled and features very minor creases and wear from age. It remains in very good overall condition.

Materials: Paper.
