A large propeller from the production of Kathryn Bigelow’s historical thriller K-19: The Widowmaker.
Russia’s first nuclear submarine is on its maiden voyage when a serious malfunction means the crew - led by Captains Mikhail Polenin (Liam Neeson) and Alexei Vostrikov (Harrison Ford) - must race against time to prevent a nuclear catastrophe.
Propellers like this were part of the nuclear missiles seen in the sub’s hold during the opening sequences, and the scale submarine miniatures used for exterior shots.
Made from solid cast steel, the propeller features six blades around a circular central hub – the conical pointed cap is included. Both items are painted green and feature considerable wear and rust from use in water. However, they remain in good overall condition.
Materials: Ferrous Metals.
This item comes with a Prop Store Certificate of Authenticity.
