Jurassic Park

Original Production Storyboard - Rex Bursts Out of Tree Line

Stock #94302

“Genetic power is the most awesome force the planet's ever seen, but you wield it like a kid that's found his dad's gun.”

An original production-used storyboard from Steven Spielberg’s 1993 Oscar-winning Jurassic Park.

Paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park's mastermind, billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt.

This storyboard depicts the scene where Alan Grant, Lex (Airiana Richards) and Tim (Joseph Mazzello) are hiding behind a tree trunk, watching a flocking herd of Gallimimus when suddenly a Tyrannosaurus Rex bursts out of the trees and starts hunting them.

This item is printed in black ink on white paper and mounted on yellow card. It has several production stamps and annotations on it, saying ‘July 29’, ‘SS APPROVED’ (presumably ‘Stephen Spielberg approved’), a note explaining the scene and two hole punches on the left hand side, indicating it is part of a sequence of storyboards outlining the movie’s ground-breaking special effects. The storyboard comes beautifully presented in a custom built framed display with laser-cut mount board featuring the classic movie title. The piece is in excellent condition.
