A production-used script and crew items from the production of Danny Cannon’s 1995 comic book adaptation Judge Dredd.
In a dystopian future Judges are allowed to dish out judiciary powers immediately. Judge Dredd (Sylvester Stallone) – the most notorious of the Judges – is convicted of a crime he didn’t commit, and must fight to clear his name.
This set features a production-used draft script, dated ‘July 25, 1994’. Written by Gary Goldman and director Danny Cannon, the script is 111 pages long including the title page. It is bound between two black pieces of card and held together with metal butterfly fasteners. The film title has been stamped in red on the title and last pages, with the number ‘85’ handwritten and circled on the same pages.
The crew items are an Adidas® cap with Dredd’s badge stitched in gold on the front; a grey t-shirt (size XL) with a silver Dredd insignia on the front, Dredd’s name in silver on the back, and ‘I Am The Law’ on the right arm; and a blue fleece with the film’s title stitched onto the left breast and pockets both sides.
The script has some wear from production use and age, including some creasing and tearing to some of the pages and the cover. The metal fasteners have rusted over time, leaving rust stains on the inside covers. The t-shirt remains in an excellent, unworn condition. The hat has very minor staining and the stitching has become plucked in places but is otherwise in very good condition. The fleece has bobbling all over and minor staining on the front.
Materials: Card, Paper, Ferrous Metals, Man-Made Woven Fibres.
