Prototype Helium Soldier Helmet

Stock #53986

A Prototype Helium Soldier Helmet from Andrew Stanton's 2012 sci-fi adaptation, John Carter. Based on the novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs, a Civil War vet is transported to Barsoom, where he discovers a barren planet seemingly inhabited by 12-foot tall barbarians. Finding himself prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Woola and a princess in desperate need of a savior.

This prototype helmet was made early in the production, though ultimately the design was altered and this style was not seen in the final film. This helmet is cast from plastic, with front and side detailing, a hinged jaw and mouth guard, and a flare at the base of the skull. An inner ring of padding makes the helmet more comfortable while wearing. The base of the helmet has been painted a muddy black color, while the detailing has highlights of pewter and red colors.

This item features some signs of wear from production use, including paint splatters, and intentional distressing, but remains in overall excellent condition.
