Sergey Kouzminsky's (Michael Caine) fake Russian passport from Terence Young’s spy thriller The Jigsaw Man.
Soviet defector Sir Phillip Kimberly (Michael Caine) is subjected to plastic surgery, transformed by his KGB handlers into Soviet attache Sergei Kuzminsky and sent back to Britain to retrieve a dossier they believe he has hidden as a bargaining chip. This passport was produced as a back-up to the passport seen on-screen as Kimberly transitioned from Englishman to Russian attache. The dark blue travel document has several pages of stamps and dated travel visas, and has Sergey's details, a small photo and his signature.
The piece shows wear from use, with a creased cover and well-read pages, and some of the red ink from the stamp has transferred to the opposite page, but the passport remains in an otherwise good condition for its age.
