British UK Quad double-bill poster for the first two Sean Connery James Bond films "Dr. No" (1962) and "From Russia with Love" (1963), this for a 1965 re-release. It is believed that this was the first Bond double-bill feature. An alternate white background style Quad was also printed but this yellow background version is much scarcer. The poster is commonly found with four yellow snipes (applied at the printers) which obscure text which reads "Sean Connery as James Bond", but this example does not have these and is one of the very limited number issued without them. By 1965 Connery was growing concerned about type-casting and objected to the use of the word "as", hence the revisions made. The poster presents the familiar image of James Bond in his dinner jacket attire with gun in hand, a bevy of Bond girls, liberal use of the "007" emblem and a sympathetic symmetrical design. This unaltered piece is the rarest of all the country of origin James Bond double-bill Quad posters.
