A letter and envelope from Miss Moneypenny (Samantha Bond) from Lee Tamahori’s 2002 Bond film Die Another Day.
Bond (Pierce Brosnan) is sent to investigate the connection between a North Korean terrorist and a diamond mogul, and their funding of a space-based weapon.
This letter was made for the film for use as set decoration on Moneypenny’s desk. While not obviously seen on screen, the letter concerns a correspondence to a Ms Farrell who has accused MI6 agents of being ‘peeping toms’ whilst out on an investigation. It has been signed by Moneypenny and it has been printed on customised A4 white paper which includes the MI6 Security Service emblem at the top of the page. This features a horse and a lion surrounded by a shield with a crown at the top. It also comes with a customised envelope which features the same MI6 emblem.
The letter and envelope have very little wear from production use and age and remain in an excellent condition.
