A set of tracking implants from Martin Campbell’s 2006 action thriller Casino Royale.
After earning 00 status and a licence to kill, Secret Agent James Bond (Daniel Craig) sets out on his first mission as 007. Bond must defeat a private banker funding terrorists in a high stakes game of poker at Casino Royale, Montenegro.
The outline of this device is shown clearly on the computer screen displaying the tracker safely working to M, Bond and the technician. We see his implant device for a second time after Bond rolls the Aston Martin as he swerves to avoid Vesper lying in the road. After the crash we see LeChiffre’s (Mads Mikkelsen) henchmen cut the tracker from Bond’s arm, LeChiffre holds it up and then crushes it in his hands. The trackers themselves measure approximately 1 cm long each and are very intricately detailed in glass and metal. The silver aluminium tube that accompanies it features a tracker embedded in the end.
Materials: Glass, Ferrous Metals.
