A framed storyboard used in the production of Stephen Spielberg’s 1984 adventure classic Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) travels to India following the urgent request from a village to locate a mystical stone. During his search he discovers a cult with a terrifying plan in the catacombs below an ancient palace.
Pages such as this were integral to the creation of the movie and enabled the team to visualise each shot early on. This story board features two illustrations. The first shows Indy clinging onto the rope bridge, while prising Mola Ram’s fingers off his chest, while the second depicts Mola Ram attempting to wrench the bag containing the Sankara stones away from Indy.
The illustrations are accompanied by details about the shot, including camera details and the explanation of what is happening. There are added details such as ‘E.M.I Back Lot’ and ‘SB – 105’ and ‘SB – 106.’ There are hole punches in the top of each page indicating that they are part of a sequence.
The storyboard comes presented in a custom-built display with laser cut mount board featuring the movie title and brief description. It is in excellent condition.
