Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade

Original Production-Used Storyboard - Tank Nears Cliff Edge (TANK 119)

Stock #81922

”What does the diary tell you that it doesn't tell us?”

A framed, production-used storyboard copy used in the production of Steven Spielberg's classic adventure film Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade.

Pages such as this were integral to the creation of the movie, and enabled the team to visualise each shot early on. This illustration shows a shot from the exciting sequence where Indy (Harrison Ford) battles Vogel (Michael Byrne) on the tank while trying to save his father, Henry Jones Sr (Sean Connery).

This production used copy is signed by veteran producer Robert Watts. The tank tracks are seen from a close side perspective with the cliff edge in the distance and a directional arrow showing where the action needs to go. Below the illustration is a scene description directing the action. Printed on white A4 sized paper, the storyboard has been labelled as a ‘Matte Shot’ and features handwritten pencil notes ‘Vistavision’ and ‘Loc 8’. Dated 4/22/88, it has been labelled ‘TANK 119’ and hole punched at the top, showing that it would have been held as part of a sequence. The storyboard comes presented in a custom-built display with laser cut mount board featuring the movie title and brief description. The frame measures approximately 37cm x 36cm (14 ½” x 14 ¼”).

Materials: Wood, Acrylic, Paper, Card, Ferrous Metals.
