Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, The

Production Distressed Buddah Scuplture

Stock #19487

”If Doctor Parnassus can really control people's mind, why isn't he ruling the world, then? Eh? Why bother with this little... side show?”

A production distressed Buddah sculpture used in the 2009 Terry Gilliam movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

This model miniature symbolic figure can be seen in several states throughout the movie, ranging from a half built temple version (believed to be this one), a completely golden fantasy version and a thoroughly distressed one in the sands Parnassas trudges through alone.

He is made from plaster with a foam filler to strengthen it, and is sadly missing everything below the waist, although this is believed to have been mostly caused by the production. The surface of the statue has been decorated to look as though made of many stone bricks and covered in a layer of dirt and grime.

Materials: Plaster, Foam.
