How I Won The War

Lot # 18 - HOW I WON THE WAR (1967) - UK Quad Poster Helmet PROP (1967)

Stock #88371

The Vic Fair designed Quad for "How I Won The War" (1967) features a helmet painted with caricatures of John Lennon and Michael Crawford. This is the actual prop helmet Vic Fair used and is sold with a letter of authenticity from the artist's widow. Lennon commenced work on this film just one week after The Beatles last live concert (San Francisco, 29th Aug 1967). This strike for independence by Lennon is seen by many as an important stepping stone in the eventual break-up of the band
