The Elephant Man's (Glenn Hetrick) Torso, Facial Appliance and Animatronic Arm

Stock #29135

The Elephant Man's (Glenn Hetrick) torso, facial appliance and animatronic arm from the third season of the TV series Heroes. These appliances come from the scene in which Mohinder's (Sendhil Ramamurthy) research into human gene modification turns horrifying as a test subject mutates into something barely human.

The torso and facial appliances are made out of silicone, and both have been preserved on clear plastic trays. The torso covers from the neck to the bottom of the stomach and has numerous brown, transparent scales probing out from the skin that are made from thin flexible plastic. The facial appliance has scales around the right jaw line and forehead, and has a beard made of coarse faux hair.

The animatronic arm has skin made out of silicone, detailed with more scales and is well detailed with a grotesque bloated forearm, hand and fingers. Inside of the arm is a sleeve made of foam that leads to a handle which allows you to manipulate the fingers. Extending out from the elbow of the arm is a silicone sleeve that was worn to blend the effect in from the shoulder.

The torso of this set measures approximately 25” x 23” x 12” (64cm x 58cm x 31cm) while the facial appliance measures approximately 11” x 10” x 4” (28cm x 25cm x 10cm). The arm measures approximately 24” x 6” x 6” (61cm x 15cm x 15cm). This item features wear from production use, most notably on the facial appliance (see photos).
