A special effects machete used in the production of Pierre Morel's action thriller The Gunman. When international mercenary Jim Terrier (Sean Penn) loses the woman he loves after a mission in the Congo, he decides to leave his line of work and try to make peace with himself for his past actions. He soon finds himself the target of hired killers. Forced to flee across Europe, can Jim escape the organisation and return to a normal life?
This machete was used by Jim during the brutal fight sequence in which Jim hacks up an assassin in hand-to-hand combat in the Congo, with this particular style of the weapon used for special effects purposes within the sequence. The prop weapon is made of rubber for the safety of actors during use, with leather lace wrapping around the grip. A section of the machete's blade has been removed to replicate the look of deep-cutting slices at specific camera angles. The piece has a brown paint finish for the handle with metallic steel tones for the blade.

Well-used on the production, this special effects machete remains in very good production-used condition.
