This prototype costume was created during the production of Gremlins 2: The New Batch. This suit, created by Rick Baker's team, was an early test idea when the team was trying to solve the problem of having Gizmo walk. A costume was built to the proportions of a small actor, who would have portrayed the Mogwai in the costume. The idea was ultimately abandoned and the costume is never seen on camera. This suit was made to fit a little person, measuring approximately 40"(102cm). The suit is in good condition and complete with snap on feet and hands that are made from a dense latex, in good condition. Also included are two large eyes 7"(18cm) that were previously part of the mask that went with the costume, which was later dismantled and discarded. A unique piece of Gremlins 2 production history.
