A script from the production of Jim Henson’s 1981 comedy The Great Muppet Caper.
Kermit, Fozzie and Gonzo are reporters who travel to Britain to interview the wealthy victim of jewel thieves and decide to help her, along with her secretary Miss Piggy.
This script, a revised third draft which was written by Tom Patchett, Jay Tarses, Jerry Juhl and Jack Rose, is 133-pages long, including the title page. The script has a windowed red card cover and is held together with two metal fasteners. The pages are predominantly white but several of the pages are printed onto pink paper, which indicates that they are revised pages. On the title page ‘Murray Close No 135’ is handwritten in red pen. Close was a still photographer on the production.
The script has some wear from production use and age, including scuffing and minor tears to the paper. There is some rust from around the metal fasteners. Overall, considering the age of the piece, it remains in an excellent condition.
Materials: Paper, Card, Ferrous Metals.
