Lord Faa’s (Jim Carter) hammer from the production of Chris Weitz’ 2007 fantasy adventure The Golden Compass.
Based on Philip Pullman’s novel Northern Lights, the film tells the story of a parallel universe where a person’s soul is tied to transforming animal companions known as dæmons.
This hammer can be seen wielded by Lord Faa as he and the Gyptians come and help battle the Tartars with the Witches and the children. It is made from soft rubber which has been painted with a brown handle and a metal coloured tip. The handle has golden coloured designs painted along three edges. It features a faux leather grip and loop at the end of the handle.
The hammer has some wear from production use and age, including some scuffing and scratches. There is also some areas where the paint has worn away, most notably on the head of the hammer. Despite this it remains in a very good condition.
Materials: Rubber, Ferrous Metals, Man-Made Woven Fibres.
