Tony Costa's (Steve Loton) Hero Gyptian Knife used in the 2007 action adventure The Golden Compass. Tony, one of the son's of Ma Costa, can be seen throughout the movie helping Lyra on her way, and although not clearly spotted on screen this is his hero opening knife. The production was so thorough in ensuring everything was perfect for the alternate universe that the movie takes place in that no expense was spared and went into incredible detail, as proven here. The weapon is long and curved, the 11.5" metal blade (blunted) swings out from the handle to lock in place fully extended. The handle is made from cast resin decorated with brown and bronze paint and the blade in turn has been dressed down to look aged and features some swirling engravings. Fully extended the knife measures 61cm (24") long.
