"Brothers, what we do in life... echoes in eternity."
An unused wound made for Ridley Scott's 2000 epic Oscar winning film Gladiator.
A former Roman General sets out to exact vengeance against the corrupt emperor who murdered his family and sent him into slavery.
This latex prosthetic was made for the scene where Maximus' gaping shoulder wound is crawling with maggots, however, it was never required. The wound is made from foam latex and highly detailed around the hole with realistic lumps and grooves. The wound would have been laid on Crowe's upper arm and the colour blended to match his skin tone with faux puss and blood added. It has started to yellow with age but is still supple and remains in good condition.
