A "Gladiator Throws Axe" storyboard hand-illustrated by illustrator Sylvain Despretz for Ridley Scott's Academy Award®-winning historical epic Gladiator. Maximus (Russell Crowe) fought several deadly gladiators in the arena throughout the film.

This five-panel storyboard of a gladiator throwing his axe was created for visual effects. The panels were digitally rendered in black-and-white, then printed, hand-illustrated in marker by Despretz, and pasted onto Tabloid paper featuring the Dreamworks logo. The storyboard comes in a custom-made black wood frame with laser-cut mount board labeled "Gladiator" and "Original Storyboard Artwork by Sylvain Despretz." Dimensions: 24.75" x 16.5" x 1" (63 cm x 42 cm x 2.5 cm)
